Newwave Solutions at Japan ICT Week 2013

The Japan Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Week is an annual event held by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) in partnership with the Vietnam – Japan IT Cooperation Club since 2007. The Japan ICT Week 2013 marked the 40th anniversary of Japan and Vietnam’s cooperation. The event is a golden opportunity for local IT companies to get updated with the latest digital trends and to explore new business opportunities with Japan – the world’s fourth biggest IT market. This year, there were 60 Japanese IT companies and 200 Vietnamese IT companies presented during the four-day events in Hanoi. There was a wide range of activities, including workshops, contests, job fairs, cultural exchanges, networking, etc. 

The cooperation between Vietnam and Japan’s businesses in the IT field has accelerated in recent years. Japan IT companies have considered Vietnam as a trusted outsourcing destination in the Asia-Pacific region. Thanks to competitive pricing, skillful workforce, stable political status and tax incentives, Vietnam has become Japan’s second outsourcing partner with an average annual growth of 30%. As the demand is still growing, the Japan ICT Week is a platform for Vietnamese and Japanese companies to connect and cooperate. 

The event also hosted an array of workshops to help Vietnamese IT companies improve their capabilities to penetrate the Japanese market.
