Newwave Solutions Celebrates a Decade of Growth in Software Development Industry

This year marks the 10th birthday of Newwave Solutions as the region’s preferred provider of SaaS (software as a service). Against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving technological environment, we are proud to have served millions of customers all over the world. When we reflect on how far we’ve come, several terms spring to mind: challenge, difficulty, surprise, and achievement. But one word jumps out above all others: gratitude.

1. Looking back

1.1 Company establishment in Ha Noi, Viet Nam (2011)

The brainchild of great dedicated software developers, Newwave Solutions itself started as a small technology startup in 2011 with several challenges. In the first days, our workplace was a small space in the kitchen of a key member’s home. The main customer-focused product development was eMenu (electronic menu), which was not a successful approach and forced us to revert to our core competency: software development services.

Our key members turned their tech startup dreams into reality. Although it was always difficult to get started, there were several things we needed to care for and improve on throughout and after every single project. We could not avoid obstacles at first, but everything seemed to point to a solution later on.

1.2 Moving to a Bigger Office on Hoang Dao Thuy street (2012 – 2013)

After only two years since its inception, Newwave Solutions quickly became a trusted partner of game development projects for international clients. With these deals, Newwave Solutions came one step closer to officially moving to our first office, which is located at apartment building 17T3, Hoang Dao Thuy street, Hanoi.

This is also one of the company’s most memorable milestones when we signed a valuable contract with another big Japanese customer.

1.3 A challenging year (2014)

Early in 2014, remarkable prosperity was followed by a large number of new clients. Luckily, we still keep a close partnership with each other now.

However, at the end of 2014, Newwave Solutions was once again confronted with tremendous challenges.

1.4 Overcoming challenge and signing another big contract (2015)

In the face of a crisis, we are determined not to give up and to put up a great deal of effort. In 2015, we continued to negotiate a contract with a Japanese partner, Nittsu System Co. Ltd, which not only helped us endure the challenging moment but also took outstanding growth steps in 2016, laying the groundwork for future growth.

Mr. Mikiharu Matsuura, General Director of Nittsu System Co., Ltd gave us a compliment: “Newwave Solutions has been innovating system development since 2015. We received great continuous support for technology enhancement for areas that we have little knowledge about. The engineers were highly adapted to new changes at each stage of the development process. We were also happy with the quality of the work. We hope that we may continue to strengthen this partnership and benefit from receiving quality software service with Newwave.”

1.5 Appointment of Mr. To Quang Duy as the new CEO (2017)

Mr. To Quang Duy, who boasts more than two decades of industry experience, took over the CEO position from his predecessor Mr. Pham Hai Nam for managing the company in 2017.

Several adjustments were made to increase the benefits for Newwave Solutions personnel, as well as to build business regulations and standardize work practices. We also had a big warm welcome toward our new cooperation with MAG Co., Ltd for a long time.

1.6 Establishment of Representative office in Japan (2019)

Establishing Newwave Solutions Japan in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan monumentally was a memorable milestone in 2019. The company was widening its scope of support by providing a modern and secure facility where the technologists can collaborate and learn from each other as well as our global team of experts and partners. This is also the year we officially implemented the Division Model Management.

At the end of 2019, when the Covid 19 epidemic began to break out in many countries, we had to struggle with several difficulties and challenges. Thanks to clients’ support, we have had the collective strength to move ahead through this tough time. One of the leading real estate groups in Vietnam, Dat Xanh Group trusted Newwave Solutions to perform both business analysis and design work on a huge project.

1.7 Appointment of COO and Sales Managers (2020 – 2021)

Two years of living with the Covid 19 pandemic have also been two challenging years for Newwave Solutions. However, on moving towards building an increasingly professional company, we completed the company structure with 3 crucial positions, COO – Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung and Sales Managers – Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong, Ms. Hoang Kim Xuyen for both Headquarter and Japan branch.

A combination of two other SaaS companies under one management of Newwave Solutions, Naxam Co. Ltd and GISoftware Jsc, also made us more powerful. It is so grateful to welcome more key members such as Mr. Vu Duc Tuyen – Market Manager, Mr. Pham Ba Vu – Vice Manager of Division 2, and Mr. Nguyen Duc Phu.

2. Nowadays

10 years, Newwave Solutions by the Numbers:  

Now, a decade later, our CEO, Mr. To Quang Duy, expresses his pride and gratitude to the company’s highly qualified IT specialists who continue to propel it to new heights. And to our valued clients, please know that you are the driving force behind all we do at Newwave Solutions. We will continue to listen to and engage with customers as we strive to provide a seamless communications experience for every our client, no matter where or how they are.

Ten years, completed hundreds of different projects for over 200 customers, Newwave Solutions is stronger than ever.
